Following a successful 20-year career in Sales and Sales
Leadership with companies such as Steelcase, Netigy and
ThruPoint, René Zaldivar made a natural transition into
employee effectiveness training and consulting in 2003 as
co-owner/ leader of ProAct USA. Following successful
growth through contracts with Fortune 500 companies, ProAct
continued to deliver customer ROI’s exceeding 400% on employee
effectiveness initiatives, while recognizing incremental year
over year growth.
In 2008, René and his partner acquired
ProAct Ltd and began the expansion into new markets with new
learning solutions and unique, advanced training delivery
methods. ProAct Global operations have delivered
workshops and consulting in more than 22 countries and 6
languages.
René is a graduate of Michigan State
University with a BS in Economics and a graduate of Hecht &
Associates Advanced Business Professionals Program. |

Tom is a
seasoned professional with over 30 years experience building,
managing, and successfully leading solution sales and delivery
teams using a consultative sales approach.
During his career, Tom has held numerous
technical, sales, and marketing leadership roles. With
a degree in Computer Science from Control Data Institute,
Tom joined ITT Courier and was responsible for technical
sales support and training in the US, Japan and Germany.
Later Tom joined Carterfone Communications, a subsidiary of
Cable and Wireless and was responsible for the development
and sales of high speed communications systems utilizing
off-shore manufacturing in South Korea. In 1988 Tom
joined SynOptics Communications, (now Nortel) and led the
sales and training organizations in the Southwest US.
Over the next 10 years, Tom was in director positions with
three professional services start-ups building profitable
new consulting service business units: Inacom, Affiliated
Computer Services and ThruPoint, where he focused on the
sale and implementation of new converged technology
solutions to a broad range of industries including,
telecommunications, oil and gas, medical, defense, and
financial.
In 2003 Tom brought his breath of experience
to ProAct and now as President, he shares those experiences
with other organizations to enable them to improve their
sales, marketing and employee effectiveness. Married
with five children, Tom lives in Plano, Texas and enjoys
boating and travel. |

Steve
moved into training and consulting in 1990, after spending
fifteen years as a salesman, sales manager and general manager
in the IT industry. He is a founder of ProAct Business
Development.
After graduating with a degree in Computer Science from
Imperial College, London, Steve joined Burroughs (now Unisys) as a sales and
marketing trainee. A brief period with Data General followed, after which he
spent nine years with Digital Equipment in various account management and sales
management roles. His experience included managing teams in the public sector,
setting up an 'installed base' pilot group involving telesales and direct mail
operations, and managing a large accounts group. Steve then spent two years with
Apple Computer being responsible for setting up and managing their Large
Accounts Division. Early in 1995, a three-month interim management assignment
with 3Com turned into a three-year spell, firstly as Sales Director for the UK
and Ireland and then as European Business Development Director.
In addition to training and consulting, Steve has written
extensively on sales and sales management topics, and is a popular speaker at
conferences and seminars. He is married with two children, and lists his hobbies
as tennis, mountain biking, hill walking, and skiing. When not traveling, Steve
spends his time between homes in Bookham, Surrey in the United Kingdom and the
French Alps. |

Kevin
moved into training and consulting in 2001, after spending
twenty years as a salesman, sales director and managing
director in the IT industry. After graduating with a degree in
Economics from the University of York, Kevin joined ICL as a
graduate marketing trainee, before moving into sales. He then
spent five years with Digital Equipment in various account
management roles and a two-year period in sales management at
Apple Computer. In 1990 Kevin joined the Rothwell Group as
Sales Director. He was involved in a number of acquisitions as
it moved from a reseller to a services business model, and
then split off its software development business as a separate
company, Symetris. Kevin joined Lancare, part of the Knowledge
Group, a network solutions provider and software developer, as
Sales Director in 1998, and stayed with the company when it
was acquired by Synstar International.
He is married with three children, lives in Ringwood,
Hampshire in the United Kingdom, and lists his hobbies as scuba diving and
skiing. |

sales director, managing director and Senior Vice President of
EMEA.

Married, with two boys aged 22 and 20. Tony lives in
Sevenoaks, Kent in the UK. In his spare time Tony and his family enjoy skiing
together and keeping fit. |

Paul has
been involved in Sales, Sales Development and Management for
over twenty years, predominately in capital equipment sales
working with market leading companies such as Caterpillar,
Crown Equipment, Manitou, NRMA and United Equipment.
Paul started his career in Mechanical
Engineering and progressed through numerous capacities in
operations before embarking on a sales career. Coupled
with exposure to key industries such as Mining,
Construction, Civil, Defence, and the Auto Industry to name
a few, brings with it vast experience and unique knowledge.
Throughout his career he has been
passionate about developing, coaching and growing the sales
individual or team to be the best they possibly can be.
